The Mitex PMR446 is a compact and durable professional grade license free two way radio. Ready to use straight from the box with easy instructions and simple use, this radio is the perfect choice for those wanting simple, reliable, short distance communications. A programming kit is also available for this model so you can customise your radios for your individual requirements, keeping interference to at least a 90% minimum, and being able to utilise the New ECC frequencies.

This radio also has a great feature completely unique in the license free market. Whilst channels 10-15 are programmed to Mitex own frequencies, it also has pre-programmed channels that are compatible with other 446 radios, Icom, Kenwood, and Motorola.

The programming details are as follows:
Channels 1-3: Motorola
Channels 4-6: Kenwood
Channels 7-9: Icom

The channel numbers on the Mitex PMR446 radios reciprocate the channel numbers on the other manufacturers radios, i.e. Channel 1 on the Mitex radio is the same frequency as Channel 1 on a Motorola PMR446; Channel 4 on the Mitex PMR446 is the same frequency as Channel 4 on a Kenwood license free radio.

Another unique feature of the Mitex PMR446 is that Mitex (UK) Ltd can upgrade the unit (for a small fee) to a fully professional 5 watt unit (conditions apply). This is ideal for users that have existing license free radios but are looking to upgrade their fleet to a more powerful system in the future.
