Mitex Security Handheld Two Way Radio
The Mitex Security two way radio is designed with the security industry in mind. So this model is ideal for users needing more private channels or less interference. Because this model uses obscure tones, you get less interference from other users of 449MHz frequencies. This radio is perfect for easy, simple, semi-secure communications. Its compact design makes it ideal for wearing on the hip or pocket. Acoustic tube earpieces are available, for those users who need more discreet communications. The Mitex range comes under our “easy licensing” options as standard.
MITEX SECURITY RADIO RANGE
Because the range of a radio varies depending on the environment you use it in, we offer you the realistic expected range of:
- Vehicles or buildings – 1/2 – 1 mile (up to 1.5km)
- Built up areas – 1 – 2 miles (up to 3km)
- Wide open spaces – 3-5 miles (up to 8km)
But you could achieve better than this in some instances. So we have explained it in further detail in our FAQ page.

Identical model to the Mitex General. Just reprogrammed to slightly different frequencies / subtones on 13 out of the 16 channels. Same Power output 5 Watts & antenna. Mitex sticker on radio is blue not red. (Does exactly what it says on the tin)
