A 128 Channel Licensed 5Watt UHF Radio - Ready to use straight from the box.

  • 5 Watt Power Output
  • Business Radio Simple UK License Application Form Included
  • 128 Channels (449MHz) with Scan & Trap Function
  • 1300mAh Li-Ion Battery
  • 12 Month Warranty (radio body only)

The Mitex Pro is a unique radio ideal for users who need more channels or want to easily connect with other radio users on 449MHz. A great handset for users who work on different sites or venues and need to keep in contact with a variety of radio users. Ideal for contractors, event planners, security teams, site operators and more. Simply scan the radio you want to connect with then trap the frequencies and tones from their channel and save them to a channel of your choice. It also has a priority scan function and the ability to monitor PMR446 frequencies so you can also listen out for license free radio users if and when you need to.

Pre-Programmed to UHF1 Frequencies: 449.3125, 449.4000, 449.4750MHz

Pre-programmed channels mean you can use the radios straight from the box, all you have to do is complete the application form that comes in the box (or online RADIO APPLICATION) and pay the £75 fee which covers you for 5 years. Don't like filing in forms? Just add the application to your order and we'll process it for you - completely free of charge.

Because the range of a radio varies depending on the environment you use it in, we offer you the realistic expected range of:

  • Vehicles or Buildings - 1/2-1mile (Up to 1.5km)
  • Built-up Areas - 1-2miles (Up to 3km)
  • Wide open spaces - 3-5miles (Up to 8km)

IS THIS RADIO RIGHT FOR YOU?

1. This radio uses popular 449MHz frequencies so you may experience interference from other users nearby, although you do have 128 channels to switch to. If you need more private or secure communications the Mitex General DMR model may be more suitable for your requirements.
2. If occasional interference is acceptable the Mitex Link uses less widely congested frequencies to give you 'quieter' channels.
3. If you need something more robust then the Mitex General Xtreme, HD or Site may be a better choice.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX?

  • 1 x Mitex Pro Radio
  • 1 x Rechargeable 1300mAh Li-Ion Battery
  • 1 x Standard 15cm UHF Antenna
  • 1 x Hand Strap
  • 1 x Belt Clip
  • 1 x Desktop Charger pod with UK PSU
  • License Application and Instruction Booklet

Not really very useful

No programming software available, Mitex no help at all except they offered to reprogram at a cost.

Missing four of the allocated seven UK Light UHF channels.

Buying for use on the UK Light channels means that channels such as the two banks of PMR446 channels are no use at all.

Better to buy a Mitex General radio, programming software freely available on line and you can easily set the CTCSS/DCS codes and channels you want.

Nice radio let down by poor support.

What's not to like ?

Great radio, loads of useful features.
Dead easy to use and a sensitive receiver. The scan function is really good. Talks to all our other motley collection of R-Ts no problem !
