 The Mitex Security is the same model as the Mitex General but has been programmed with obscure tones to reduce the chance of hearing other users conversations in areas where interference is expected. Pre-programmed channels mean you can use the radios straight from the box, all you have to do is complete the application form that comes in the box (or online RADIO APPLICATION) and pay the £75 fee which covers you for 5 years. Don't like filing in forms? Because the range of a radio varies depending on the environment you use it in, we offer you the realistic expected range of:

• Vehicles or Buildings - 1/2-1mile (Up to 1.5km)
• Built-up Areas - 1-2miles (Up to 3km)
• Wide open spaces - 3-5miles (Up to 8km)

IS THIS RADIO RIGHT FOR YOU?

1. This radio will only reduce the chance of hearing other users conversations. If you need more private or secure communications the Mitex General DMR model may be more suitable for your requirements.
2. If occasional interference is acceptable the Mitex Link uses less widely congested frequencies to give you 'quieter' channels.
3. If you need something more robust then the Mitex General Xtreme, HD or Site may be a better choice.
